Amber Soucy '13 applied to several colleges when looking at Nursing programs, but her final decision was easy.
"I was accepted directly into the Curry Nursing program, so that had a big influence on my decision,” Amber recalls.
“I was also able to start my clinical rotations during sophomore year, gaining that real-world experience early on. Add in the proximity to Boston and the connections you can make at all of the great hospitals, you can't get any better than that."
As a Curry College Nursing student, the Springfield, Massachusetts native thrived, eventually completing clinical work at Massachusetts General Hospital, South Shore Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton, and Tufts Medical Center, among others, gaining exposure to a wide range of medical disciplines.
Today Amber is working as a travelling nurse at Boston Medical Center on a step-down unit, a clinical instructor at a local nursing school program, and per diem as a homecare nurse. She has also worked as an RN at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Tufts Medical Center.
