Applying under the Early Action (EA) Plan at Curry College comes with benefits! All students who apply and complete their application by the December 1 EA deadline will have their application reviewed by the Admission Committee and will be notified of the outcome no later than December 15. In addition, if a student is admitted under the EA Plan they will receive a $2,000 Early Action Award, worth $8,000 over four years!

EA is a non-binding so applicants who are admitted will have until May 1 to secure their enrollment. Admission under EA Plan is based on the student's academic and extra-curricular profile. Minimum requirements are determined by the Committee. If Curry College is one of a student's top choices, then they are encouraged to apply under the EA Plan.

After review by the Admission Committee, an applicant will be notified by December 15 of one of the following decisions: Admission as an EA candidate qualifying the student for the $2,000 EA Award; Defer to Regular Decision with an offer of admission; Defer to Regular Decision with a request for additional information; or denial.

Requirements for First-Year Applicants 

• A completed application (either the Common Application or Curry's own Application) with a non-refundable fee of $50.00
• An official high school transcript
• Results of SAT, SAT 1, or ACT sent directly from the appropriate testing agency.  SAT scores can be submitted online.
• A Letter of Recommendation from guidance counselor or high school teacher.  The recommendation may be submitted on a separate sheet or attached letter.
• A college essay of at least 250 words

Additional Requirements for PAL Applicants

Students who are applying to the Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL) must also submit the following:

• Diagnostic testing
• Individual Education Plan (IEP) or its equivalent, if available (optional)
• PAL Supplementary Application (optional)

Note: SAT, SAT 1, or ACT scores are NOT required of PAL applicants.  Visit the PAL website for more information on PAL requirements. Applications are not complete until all of the necessary requirements have been satisfied.

Once you've submitted your application, you must pay your non-refundable application fee to be considered for Admission. The College follows a rolling admissions policy. Decisions are mailed within 3-6 weeks of an applicants file becoming complete.

Eligibility for Merit Based Scholarships or awards is considered by the Admission Office at same time an application for admission for full-time, first-year and transfer students is being reviewed. Students who are eligible for merit based scholarships and/or awards are notified at the time of acceptance to the College. There is no additional application required. Merit scholarships and awards range from $2,000 to $24,000 annually.

All scholarships are credited to the student's tuition account approximately one week after the end of the add/drop period for the semester. Renewal of these funds annually is contingent on meeting the academic requirements set forth in the student's notification letter at the time of acceptance to the College and continuous, consecutive full-time enrollment in a degree-program. Admitted students are expected to conduct themselves in a college-ready manner consistent with Curry College's policies and expectations for its students, including those set forth in the Student Handbook. Prior to matriculation, admitted students must report to the Curry College Office of Admission any disciplinary violations or other behavior that is inconsistent with the Code of Conduct. If any of these conditions are not met, the College may withdraw its offer of acceptance and deny admission to the College.

An admitted student must also report to the Curry College Office of Admissions if he or she becomes subject to any discipline process by a school or if his or her status at any school changes for any reason, or if information that was provided to the College in application materials is no longer accurate. The College may take action to withdraw its offer of acceptance and deny admission to (or continued enrollment at) the College, based upon this information (or failure to report these changes as required).
