Making the transition to college can be a little confusing and lot of fun. Your First-Year Experience at Curry College helps smooth out the bumps and puts you on the path to success.
Our first-year academic program offerings are specially selected to absorb your attention, challenge your perspectives, and support your efforts in and out of the classroom.
Students in First-Year LLC's are housed in the same residence hall and take two or more courses together around a particular theme. This allows for group collaboration in study spaces with technology and supports interaction in and outside of the classroom.
The Honors Program admits only 68 students each year into a community of motivated, intellectually curious, and socially engaged students. We serve nearby communities, attend concerts, plays, and art exhibits, invite guest speakers, offer workshops, and more!
Consider yourself an active participant in your own education, but you don't have to go it alone. During your first year, you'll collaborate with your professors and an academic advisor, a caring and committed Curry faculty member focused on you.
We realize that the first year is one of great transition, not only for your student, but for you as a family member as well. It's only natural for you to worry about your student's adjustment to college life.
