Clinical Locations Second to None

Curry College's location in the Boston metropolitan area creates the perfect opportunity for you to experience dynamic, hands-on learning at some of the best medical facilities in the world. Beginning sophomore year, you gain experience in a wide range of urban and suburban institutions as you complete your six semesters of required clinical work including pediatrics, maternity, mental health rotations, and more.

Prepare for a Career in Nursing

In addition to clinical placements, Curry nursing students can gain valuable experience engaging in simulated patient care scenarios, participating in disaster drills at local hospitals, and even traveling to France or Ireland to study health policy. You'll be educated with technology infused throughout your curriculum to prepare for the demands of today's healthcare settings.

With a Nursing degree from Curry College, you will be well prepared for a career in acute care, community health, mental health, women's health, and much more.

Course Requirements and Information

The following policies apply to students in the Nursing Program:

  1. First year students must complete BIOL 1075, 1175, 1085, 1185, CHEM 1001 and CHEM 1002 with a grade of C+ on the first attempt by the end of the spring semester. Failure to meet this grade requirement will result in removal from the Nursing major.
  2. Nursing students must complete Microbiology BIOL 2010 with a grade of C+.
  3. Additional policies and information relating to nursing students are in the course syllabi and the Baccalaureate Nursing Program Policy and Information Handbook.
  4. The Nursing Division reserves the right to alter policies and/or curriculum at any time.

To achieve this mission, the College of Nursing provides a caring and innovative educational environment that promotes  intellectual and social growth, synthesis of knowledge, and interpersonal and clinical expertise.

Baccalaureate Program Outcomes:

  1. Identify health promotion and clinical intervention strategies for optimal individual and population wellness.
  2. Deliver culturally responsive, patient and family-centered care that integrates evidence and is based on a foundation of a liberal arts education.
  3. Use information technologies, teamwork strategies and collaborative communication to improve patient care and create a safe care environment.
  4. Interpret the effects of health policy on populations and healthcare systems.
  5. Engage in life-long scholarship and professional development.
  6. Apply leadership skills with creativity, compassion, and commitment to engage self and others in promoting and managing healing environments.
