Employers rank critical thinking as their highest priority among skills that are increasingly important in the workforce of the future. Two-thirds of employers also identify ethics and social responsibility as increasingly important. A degree in the following programs emphasizes exactly these skills!
Philosophy Major and Minor
Knowledge of philosophical perspectives will help students in almost any career, as they learn discipline in thinking, creativity in problem-solving, thoughtfulness in self-awareness, and a deep sense of humanity's efforts to understand its place in the universe.
Religion
Do you want to gain a better understanding of yourself? Interact with people from a variety of religious and cultural backgrounds? Interested in a career involving public service? Then a minor in Religious Studies may be for you.
Asian Studies
Students may obtain a minor in Asian Studies in conjunction with any major offered at the College, although it may be particularly attractive for majors in Philosophy, English, Business Management, and Politics & History.
