Shape the minds of the next generation and enhance their knowledge and understanding of everything from history to math, science, and English. With an education degree from Curry College, graduates are fully equipped to leave our classrooms and lead their own public school or community setting.
Pathways to Public School Education
Students pursuing a path to teaching in a public school setting can choose from the following majors. These programs prepare students to work with children and their families in public school setting and require completion of the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL).
Early Childhood Education Major Elementary Education Major Mathematics Education Major and Minor Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) MajorPathways in Community Education
Students pursuing the path of community education can choose from the following majors. These programs prepare students to work with children and their families in a variety of community based educational settings and require completion of the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL).
Community Education Major Early Education and Care Major Out of School Time Education MajorEducation Minors and Concentrations
Education majors who wish to specialize in an area of interest can do so by completing additional coursework within a concentration. Students in other majors complete the courses within a concentration and then apply for an Education minor in the specialized area.

This Dual-Degree Program for future public school educators features the opportunity to earn an appropriate bachelor's degree in Education and a Master of Education degree in five years, plus two DECE teaching licenses.

Consult with faculty in the Education Resource Center to develop a lesson plan, research a topic, preview materials for student teaching field practice, and create visual displays and presentations.
