Dr. Michelle McMahon has been teaching at Curry College School of Nursing since 2008. She is academically prepared as a Nurse Scientist-Educator, with a clinical focus on the care of patients experiencing chronic illness. Her scholarly work includes concept and mid-range theory development, with a research focus on pedagogical strategies for clinical judgment development of baccalaureate nursing students, and the effects of ambiguity with nursing practice on nurse decision making.
During her 25 year plus professional career Professor McMahon has worked with clients across the lifespan in diverse clinical settings including acute, rehab, community and long-term care environments. Dr. McMahon, a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate level and is currently Director of the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Graduate Program. Additionally, she is a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) site evaluator. Dr. McMahon has presented several posters and oral presentations on a variety of nursing topics at professional conferences.
