Dr. Cathleen Colleran is a Professor of Nursing and current Chair of the School of Nursing. She holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Nursing Education from Regis College, an MSN in Community Health Nursing from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and a BSN from Husson College/Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine.
Dr. Colleran served as the President for the American Nurses Association Massachusetts in 2016-2017. In addition, she is a member in good standing of the Sigma Theta Tau, Theta Chapter, International Honor Society of Nursing. Before becoming a professor at Curry, she held a variety of nursing administration positions in Massachusetts in acute care and home health care.
Dr. Colleran is a LANP (Leadership for Academic Nursing Program) Fellow, 2014 and a Health Information Technology Scholars program (HITS) Faculty Scholar, 2009. Dr. Colleran was inducted into Husson University Alumni Hall of Fame, 2010 and is a 2010 recipient of the Foundation of National Student Nurses Association, Promise of Nursing Regional Faculty Fellowship.
Most recently, Dr. Colleran completed the CCEP training through the Watson Caring Science Institute and is recognized as a Caritas Coach.
