Learning Specialist, Curry College Senior Lecturer, Paula Cocce, became a faculty member at Curry College and the Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL) in September of 2000. In addition to her work in PAL, Paula teaches First Year Seminar and The Transfer Experience. She is the current Outreach Coordinator for PAL. She facilitates workshops on LD Awareness, Study Skills Strategies, Student Motivation and the College Search Process for parents, students, guidance counselors and educational consultants. Paula received a Master's of Education degree at Curry College where her research focused on reading and study skills, metacognition and motivation in adult students. She holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education and obtained an additional Certification in Reading for Reading Specialist at Framingham State University. Before joining Curry, Paula was coordinator of the Adult Basic Education Program at Quincy College. While at Quincy College, she taught literacy and GED preparation. Additionally, she worked with adolescents with learning differences in the Canton and Sharon Public School Systems. Paula is a contributing author in Changing Lives Through Metacognitive Relationships (2009). Her chapter is entitled: Reigniting the Light for Lifelong Learning.
