Sheryl Cifrino has been teaching in the Curry College Division of Nursing since 2007. She is academically prepared as a nursing educator with a focus on utilizing simulation in nursing to enhance the Quality and Safety Education in Nursing during baccalaureate education. Dr. Cifrino continues to develop educational strategies for learner centered teaching in both the classroom and simulation laboratory settings.
Dr. Cifrino has worked in clinical areas during her professional career that include intensive care for pediatric burn patients, long term care and rehabilitation environments. Presently Dr. Cifrino teaches the introductory fundamentals courses in both the classroom and the simulation settings for sophomore level students. Her additional interests include development of informatics competencies that enhance utilization of evidence based research to inform clinical practice.
