Dr. Sarah Augusto an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice. Dr. Augusto completed her PhD at the University of California, Davis, where she wrote her dissertation on decentralized, horizontal organizing in the Student and Occupy Movements at University of California campuses. While at UC Davis, she held a fellowship at the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and taught courses on social movements, sex and gender, popular culture, the family, and field methods. She is a budding science fiction fan and would love to someday teach a course on visionary fiction and social justice.
