Dr. Abigail Hafer Published in American Rationalist

Dr. Abigail Hafer recently published an article in American Rationalist, titled "Trump and the Gish Gallop." The piece compares the rhetorical styles of creationist Duane Gish and President Donald Trump and suggests how to refute their arguments.

"As with Duane Gish, refuting one of Trump's statements can be very difficult, since often it is difficult to tell what his points are, other than how he ends up," Dr. Hafer writes. "How can you refute someone when he won't tell you how he came to his conclusion? How can you keep an audience interested when doing a point by point refutation would be boring, and it would mean devoting more time to your opponent's spurious comments?"
