The Curry College CAGS continues the journey of those educators who have already completed field and coursework to address the 2012 DESE standards for administrative licensure.
Program Highlights
- Courses focus on contemporary, relevant issues which today's school leaders face on a regular basis.
- Convenient Schedule and Hybrid Format - Classes are scheduled one evening a week and are delivered in a hybrid format - a blend of in-person discussions and online activities - to best meet the needs of busy professionals.
- CAGS can be completed in as few as two semesters.
- State-Approved Program - Curry's Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study has been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
- Financial aid is available to those who qualify.

EDL 7060: Sheltered English Immersion for Administrators - 1 credit
EDL 7070: Trends in 21st Century Education

EDL 7090: Teacher/Staff Quality through Differentiated Supervision
EDL 7150: Getting Started: Pre-Practicum in Educational Leadership - 1 credit (50 hours minimum)
EDL 7160: Practicum in Educational Leadership - 6 credits (500 hours minimum)
EDL 7170: Data Analysis, Planning and Action Research - 4 credits
All courses are 3 credits unless otherwise noted
Theory and Practice
The Curry College Principal Licensure Program combines theory and practice through its practicum-linked assignments. Coursework and practicum include:
